Extravagant Rubbish: Aesthetic Forms and Their Opposites [exhibition]
This was my first solo show as a fine-art artist. I don't think that really knew where I was going with this show, but I knew that I had an entire year to make work for it. In hindsight, the botanical influences are undeniable, as was my curiosity with illuminating electronics. By the opening, I had about 70 pieces on display ranging in size from 60 inches to a 1.5-inch resin gemstone.
